Description
Join us down at the Comox Valley Marina, at the Spinnaker Building on the Monday evening of May 4th, at 6:00 pm, for an evening of crafting, carving, and chatting with creative people! If you’ve always wanted to try linocut, this workshop is for you! If you’re already familiar with linocut but don’t have all the supplies, this workshop is for you, too!
For those who are interested but have no idea what linocut carving is, it’s like making your own stamp: you use carving tools to carve out a rubber block, roll ink onto it, and press it onto paper to transfer the ink from the block to the paper. It’s a fun, satisfying activity that is super accessible to the absolute beginner. I’ll be there to help guide you on safe tool use, carving strategy, which tools to use, and how to roll on ink and print your design!
Workshop Details:
Date: May 4th, 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
